Japanese psychedelic band TŌ YŌ takes the stage at Vera with a support act.
Tō Yō is a psychedelic rock quartet from Tokyo, made up of Masami Makino (vocals, guitar), Sebun (guitar), VINCENT (bass) and Hibiki Amano (drums, percussion). Rooted in the city's genre-defying underground, the band blends heavy psych-rock with krautrock grooves, folk textures and a strong improvisational drive. Their 2023 debut *Stray Birds From the Far East* (King Volume Records) earned them international recognition and festival slots at Fuji Rock and European events including Freak Valley and SonicBlast. Their second album, *Yardang*, is set for release on EXAG' Records.
Tō Yō performed on the 2025 European tour, with performances at Freak Valley Festival and SonicBlast Fest, in preparation for their second album.
The band announced their second studio album *Yardang* via the French label EXAG' Records, developed over two years of live improvisation.
Tō Yō performed for the second year in a row at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
The debut album *Stray Birds From the Far East* was released via King Volume Records and Kozmik Artifactz and reached the Doom Charts of August 2023.
