Tim Akkerman & The Ivy League

Tim Akkerman has been performing for over twenty years: ten years as frontman of DI-DIRECT, followed by a solo career spanning more than a decade. His career includes hit songs, duets, countless live shows, and a biography about his life and work.

His solo work began with the introspective singer-songwriter album 'Anno', but with 'The Journey' (2014) he took a bolder direction. Since then he has worked closely with his regular band The Ivy League, with whom he has recorded new material. The singles 'Hold Your Fire', 'Young and Careless' and 'Heart of the Matter' are the first fruits of this collaboration. In autumn 2026, the album 'Are We Strong Enough?' will follow - the musical conclusion of a trilogy, linked to his podcast 'TimBoekToe'.
