Tim Akkerman (The Hague, 1980) is a Dutch rock and soul singer, guitarist and songwriter who first made his name as the frontman of The Hague band DI-RECT, scoring seven top-ten singles on the Dutch Top 40 before leaving in 2009. Since then he has toured the Netherlands and beyond with Tim Akkerman & The Ivy League, blending rock, soul and Americana influences. A 2019 appearance on the TV show Beste Zangers - where Floor Jansen delivered a celebrated cover of his song 'Winner' - introduced him to a wider audience.
