Theatre of Hate + Skids
Two legendary punk and new wave bands, Theatre of Hate and Skids, perform together on a European tour. Expect classics and new material from both acts.
Skids are a Scottish punk and new wave band from Dunfermline, formed in 1977 by guitarist Stuart Adamson and vocalist Richard Jobson. Their top-ten hit 'Into the Valley' (1979) and the album 'Days in Europa' secured their place in British punk history, while Adamson's distinctive guitar style later became the foundation of Big Country. After disbanding in 1982 and a brief reunion in 2007, the band reformed permanently in 2016 with Jobson fronting a revamped lineup, and have since released three new studio albums.
The compilation 'Land Sea & Sky - Singles 1978-1981' was released in October 2025 and reached position 18 on the British vinyl chart.
The band is touring the United Kingdom with shows in London (sold out), Newcastle, Leeds, Aberdeen and Camden Town in January 2026.
Songkick reports that Skids are currently performing in three countries with 24 announced concerts, including a show in Düsseldorf.
Skids and Spear of Destiny announced a joint UK tour for autumn 2024, with Skids celebrating the 45th anniversary of 'Days in Europa'.
The studio album 'Destination Düsseldorf' was released in June 2023 via Last Night From Glasgow Records and reached number one on the British vinyl chart.
