Destroyer (solo) + support: Dorsy
Canadian indie-rock musician Destroyer performs solo at EKKO Utrecht, with Dorsy as support.
Destroyer is the solo project of Vancouver-based Canadian musician Dan Bejar, who started it as a home-recording experiment in the early 1990s. Alongside his work with indie rock band The New Pornographers, Bejar has built a body of work under the Destroyer name that shifts genre radically from album to album - from lo-fi folk to baroque pop, lounge music to synth-driven rock. His fourteenth studio album, Dan's Boogie (2025), earned an 8.0 from Pitchfork and a Metacritic score of 83, indicating universal acclaim.
Dan's Boogie was included in the longlist of the Polaris Music Prize 2025, the Canadian music award for artistic merit.
Destroyer played a short European tour in June 2025 with shows in Paris, Manchester, Bristol, London and at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Porto.
The fourteenth studio album Dan's Boogie was released on March 28, 2025 via Merge Records and received widespread critical acclaim, with a Metacritic score of 83/100.
Destroyer announced Dan's Boogie with the single 'Bologna' (feat. Fiver) and a North American tour as opening act for Father John Misty.
Destroyer will go on a 28-show North American tour in autumn 2025, the first full band tour in almost three years.
