Belle and Sebastian are a Scottish indie pop band from Glasgow, formed in 1996 by Stuart Murdoch. Their debut albums 'Tigermilk' and 'If You're Feeling Sinister' - both released in 1996 - established them as one of the most distinctive voices in British indie, known for wistful, literary songwriting. Now a seven-piece, the band has released over ten studio albums and built a devoted international following across three decades.
Belle and Sebastian announced in August 2025 a major 30th Anniversary Tour for 2026, where they will play 'Tigermilk' and 'If You're Feeling Sinister' in full on two consecutive evenings per city, with stops in Europe, the UK and North America.
The European tour includes two evenings at Amsterdam's Paradiso (2 and 3 March 2026), followed by shows in Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen and Cologne.
Julien Baker and SOAK released a cover of Belle and Sebastian's 'Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying' in November 2024.
The band released the surprise album 'Late Developers' in January 2023 via Matador Records, recorded during the same sessions as the album 'A Bit of Previous' from 2022.
