About

Bedsore are a progressive death metal band from Rome, formed in 2018. They fuse old-school death metal with the instrumentation and compositional logic of 1970s progressive rock - Hammond organ, mellotron, fretless bass and brass included. Their debut Hypnagogic Hallucinations (2020, 20 Buck Spin) built a cult following in the underground; the follow-up Dreaming the Strife for Love (2024) was widely listed among the best metal albums of that year. In October 2025 the band signed to Season of Mist and began work on their third album.
