Jeffrey Halford & The Healers

Jeffrey Halford has been active as an Americana singer-songwriter for over thirty years and has released eight albums, with a ninth in the works. His music has long transcended California: he has completed eight European tours, with a ninth planned for autumn 2026, and recently topped the Euro-Americana charts.

Halford was born in Dallas and grew up in a family that moved frequently. As a teenager, he became captivated by music through radio personality Wolfman Jack and AM radio - artists like Curtis Mayfield and Howlin' Wolf laid the foundation for his style. At fourteen, he received a nylon-string guitar, and his path was set. He never pursued formal classical training, but developed into a seasoned songwriter with a distinctive voice.

After moving to San Francisco in 1977, he immersed himself in the local live circuit. This quickly led to performances with Oakland blues legends such as Sonny Lane, Mississippi Johnny Waters and J.J. Malone, and collaborations with Chuck Prophet, Augie Meyers, The Gospel Hummingbirds and Bill Wyman, among others. In his music, rock and roll, country, blues and soul flow together naturally.

For the past thirty years, Halford has toured continuously with The Healers and shared the stage with artists such as Taj Mahal, George Thorogood, Los Lobos, Gregg Allman and Etta James.
