Bolder and Van Santen

Audrey Bolder (formerly Bolder & Plante) and Noël van Santen (formerly the comedy duo Schudden) studied together at drama school and know each other inside and out. As Bolder & Van Santen, they return with a new programme full of physical cabaret - about the desires and the many lives we all carry within us.

In their new production Looprat, the duo sketches hilarious and tragic portraits of people trying to make the best of it every day. They toil, run, climb, stumble, slip and slide towards that one glorious moment in the spotlight - only to go unseen. A production about grand dreams, about roles and masks, and about facing the naked truth.

With their debut Call It a Marriage, they toured the country with great success. Theaterkrant praised their strong physical performance, which they use to pull everyday situations "directly into absurdity". Theaterparadijs called their acting "convincing and gripping", with scenes ranging from hilarious to beautifully understated.
