Marja van Katendrecht

Marja van Katendrecht is known from De Tupperware Show, De Dooie Sterrenparade and Aan Boord bij Marja. With her Rotterdam flair, sharp humour and big heart, she is one of the most recognizable personalities on the Dutch stage - and rightfully named The Dutch Ambassador of Rotterdam.

In Heel Holland Hoopt, Marja explores with the audience what it means to hope: for love, for recognition, for a new coat, for something better than yesterday. Heavy themes such as loneliness, longing and connection are addressed without losing their edge. The performance contains absurd scenes, poetry, music and moments of vulnerability. No two evenings are the same, because the audience actively takes part.
