In 2027, the album 'Heroes' turns fifty years old, marking the starting point for Starman - The Dutch David Bowie Tribute's new show: the Heroes - 50 Years Tour.

Recorded in 1977, the album 'Heroes' was inspired by Cold War themes of fear and isolation that hung over Berlin at the time. The title track tells the story of two lovers at the Wall desperately seeking a way to be together - for Bowie possibly personal in nature, but grown into a worldwide anthem for freedom. The day after Bowie's death, Germany's Foreign Ministry sent out the tweet: "Good-bye, David Bowie. You are now among #Heroes. Thank you for helping to bring down the #wall."

Frontman Rias Baarda on the song: "Heroes is Bowie's most powerful and iconic number, where everything comes together - the ultimate expression. I often rise a bit when I sing it, and the release in the audience is always powerful to witness. For me, it's consistently one of the highlights of the show!"

Starman has earned its stripes with performances at the Ziggo Dome and Gelredome, successful theatre and club tours, and shared the stage in 2024 with former David Bowie musicians at AFAS Live. The programme features a compilation of Bowie's greatest hits - from Space Oddity to Let's Dance, from Life On Mars to Heroes - for both the devoted Bowie fan and the Absolute Beginner.
