YĪN YĪN is a Maastricht quartet that weaves disco, funk and psychedelia with Southeast Asian music. Over recent years, the band has played at venues like Paradiso, Lowlands, Fuji Rock and Clockenflap, building an international reputation. Their discography ranges from 'The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers' and 'The Age Of Aquarius' to 'Mount Matsu'.

Their fourth album 'Yatta!' centers on Italo-disco: the mysterious, spacious disco sound that emerged in Italy in the late 1970s. Synthesizers, psychedelic effects and trippy guitar tones give the music a cinematic character - one moment it sounds like a Japanese soul-funk spy film from the 1960s, the next like a psychedelic Thai spaghetti western.

The album alternates energetic dancefloor tracks with laid-back soundscapes, without losing the band's playfulness.
