YĪN YĪN is a quartet from Maastricht that weaves psychedelia, funk and disco together with Southeast Asian influences. Founded in 2017, the band has built an international following through stages including Lowlands, Pinkpop and Japan's Fuji Rock. Their fourth album 'Yatta!' (2026, Glitterbeat Records) centres on Italo disco and pentatonic melodies, self-produced by the current lineup of Kees Berkers, Remy Scheren, Jerôme Scheren and Erik Bandt.
Fourth album 'Yatta!' was released on 23 January 2026 via Glitterbeat Records, with Italo-disco and Southeast Asian motifs as a common thread.
Far Out Magazine gave 'Yatta!' a score of 4.5 out of 5 and called the album a 'masterpiece'.
YĪN YĪN performed at Best Kept Secret Festival in Hilvarenbeek.
On 10 January 2025, the band announced the departure of bassist Robbert Verwijlen; he was replaced by Jerôme Scheren.
