Confettiinjebierfest! | Edition 10!

Confettiinjebierfest turns 10 and is still not grown up. What started as a sticky tradition full of bands, beer, fancy dress and conga lines moves to Poppodium Phoenix for this anniversary edition - bigger stage, more room to stumble, and an even more extensive line-up with international bands, confetti and beer. Organized by Wasted Event Bookings.

The programme features punk, goregrind and electropunk, with the following confirmed acts:

GIJSJARADIJSJA - Previously known from poorly drawn Pokémon videos on YouTube. This cult punk band consists of 5 nerds with plenty of stage experience and a past in acts like Dr. Justice & The Smooth Operators, Scotch, The Skaggerz and De Plaag.

BÈRELØR (BE) - Antwerp rock 'n' roll band formed by three musicians from the metal bands Axamenta, Suhrim and Keltgar. Their name means completely drunk in the Antwerp dialect. With songs like Bouwverlof, De Fritbestelling and Foef Foef Piet, they shy away from no subject and certainly no boundaries.

DONDER HEL & HAGEL (BE) - Anarchist new wave band from Leuven, consisting of Hans Hagel, Anton Donder and Bart Hel - veterans from bands like The Usual Suspects and Cop on Fire. They wrap revolution in danceable electrobeats, catchy guitars and Flemish lyrics against the establishment.

KWAKELS ACTIE FRONT - Uncompromising Dutch punk from De Kwakel, with songs about De Kwakel itself and the everyday frustrations that come with it. Hits include Bier en Frituur, Boterdijk Boulevard and Vies, Veel en Vet. Appearing for the fourth year in a row at Confettiinjebierfest.

RECTUM STRETCHERS (opening act) - The Netherlands' youngest gore grind band, inspired by Macabre, Gronibard and Rompeprop. A mix of groovy riffs, hard breakdowns, razor-fast blastbeats and pitch-shifted vocals. Won second prize and the audience award at the 2023 Grote Prijs van Dordrecht.
