SNAKEFEST 2026! | Live Music & Nature Benefit Festival

Snakefest 2026 is the fourth edition of this rock and metal festival raising funds for reptile and amphibian protection. Stichting Herpetofauna and Poppodium Phoenix support two organizations this year.

Kakare Women Group (Uganda) is run entirely by women and trains them in snakebite awareness, prevention, first aid, and safe snake capture and relocation. The programmes target women who regularly encounter snakes through their daily work. Herpetofauna supports them in a new project aiming to reach up to 10,000 people.

SHE-India operates in a country with over 300 snake species, 67 of which are venomous. The organization delivers over 600 trainings in awareness and capacity building, produces educational materials in 14 regional languages, and has launched a snakebite emergency app already downloaded over 10,000 times.

The programme features live music from Necrology, Left Behind, Dance With Dragons, Tarnished and Knokploeg, a reptile expo, the Snakefest Market (reptile merchandise, all proceeds to Stichting Herpetofauna), a tattoo artist with flash tattoos, and various food vendors. Every ticket sold supports both charities.
