Bilthoven Klassiek hosts the Matangi Quartet on Friday, 25 September 2026 at Theater Het Lichtruim. The ensemble performs works by Dvořák and Brahms alongside viola player Sunniva Skaug and pianist Ketevan Sharumashvili. This performance is one of five Dutch dates on the Matangi Quartet's autumn tour, which takes the group through the Netherlands in September and October. The concert takes place at Theater Het Lichtruim on Planetenplein.

About: Sunniva Skaug

Sunniva Skaug is a Norwegian viola player currently pursuing her master's degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo under Lars Anders Tomter. She previously studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and has won prizes at international competitions. As one of the first Moving Talent Fellows of the International Holland Music Sessions, she works closely with the Matangi Quartet as she transitions into a professional chamber music career.

Ketevan Sharumashvili is a Georgian pianist specialising in classical and Romantic repertoire. She is known for her albums Fantasia and Connected, featuring works by composers such as Beethoven, Scriabin and Liszt. Her appearances in the Meesterpianisten series place her among the established voices on the international concert stage.
