Matangi Quartet is a Dutch string quartet known for crossing boundaries between classical music and other genres, including tango and film music. The ensemble frequently collaborates with guest musicians on crossover projects. In Maestro Morricone they join bandoneon player Carel Kraayenhof to perform works by Ennio Morricone alongside music by Piazzolla, Philip Glass and Nino Rota.
