Lying Concert: Best of Einaudi, Leopoldskerkje Meerssen

At the Leopoldskerkje in Meerssen, Jeroen van Veen performs an evening-length programme of works by Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi. The small church features an original Rippenvleugel piano. The performance, titled The Best of Einaudi, showcases his most famous solo piano pieces - rhythmic, driving music alternating with slow, soothing sounds. Einaudi's work became widely known through his soundtracks for the film Intouchables (2011); his minimalist style borders on pop music.
