Lying Concert EINAUDI, Scheepvaartmuseum Amsterdam

Lying Concert® #73 at the Scheepvaartmuseum: pianist Jeroen van Veen performs an evening-length programme of works by Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi. You listen while lying on your own mat, beneath the museum's glass roof illuminated by 10,000 lights.

Einaudi's music became widely known through his soundtracks for the film Intouchables (2011). His minimalist-sounding style is close to pop music. Van Veen plays the best-known solo piano works: rhythmic, rousing pieces alternating with slow, soothing sounds.

Optionally, there is a specially curated three-course dinner including drinks, served at a location with a view of the VOC ship. Note: if fewer than 10 dinner guests, the dinner will be cancelled.
