25 Years of Pergola Listening Session
Pergola is considered one of the classics in Dutch music history. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album, PHIL organizes a listening session on Sunday, October 4 in the Kleine Zaal, from 13:00 to 14:30 - preceding JOHAN's concert at Patronaat.
The vinyl plays from the first to the last note, and between the tracks, JOHAN's singer and guitarist Jacob de Greeuw shares how the songs came together. Beyond Pergola itself, the session also explores the music that inspired and shaped the band.
De Greeuw is interviewed by Menno Pot (de Volkskrant), who has previously interviewed artists including Spinvis and Freek de Jonge. Frans Hagenaars (Excelsior Recordings) also participates; he was active at the Haarlem Vinyl Festival in 2024 with a session on the art of recording.
The session is in Dutch. Tickets cost € 7,50 and are available via Stager. Those who already have a ticket for the concert at Patronaat get free access.
