JOHAN is a Dutch indie rock band from Hoorn, built around singer-guitarist Jacco de Greeuw as its sole constant member. The band broke through with Pergola (2001), which went gold and is widely regarded as a landmark in Dutch pop music. After a near-decade hiatus, JOHAN returned in 2018 and has since released two more albums, with The Great Vacation (2024) reaching number five on the Dutch Album Top 100.
JOHAN performed seven sold-out concerts throughout the Netherlands in April 2026 as part of the Pergola anniversary tour, including a performance in the Grote Zaal of Paradiso on April 25.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Pergola, JOHAN re-released the album on April 3, 2026 on silver-colored vinyl.
JOHAN announced a seven-city club tour in October 2025 for spring 2026, in which Pergola will be performed in full to celebrate the 25th anniversary.
JOHAN released the EP The Soundtrack of Our Lives in March 2025 via Excelsior Recordings, as a supplement to the theater tour.
The sixth studio album The Great Vacation was released on January 26, 2024 and received positive reviews from, among others, the Volkskrant and Het Parool.
JOHAN performs at the Haarlem Vinyl Festival 2026 in Patronaat, with a support act.
