Ies Muller and Hamid Reza Behzadian met years ago at an evening in Utrecht - two musicians whose repertoire is rooted in diverse traditions. Hamid draws from Persian music, Indian classical music and Mississippi delta blues; Ies from Irish and Breton traditional music. Years of playing together and learning from each other followed.

Now their album has finally arrived: 'Oculus', a journey from east to west with many vistas along the way. They are accompanied by Suresh Sardjoe on tabla.

Line-up: Hamid Reza Behzadian (Indian slide guitar, resonator guitar and harmonica), Ies Muller (wooden flutes) and Suresh Sardjoe (tabla).
