Hans Sligter, Mr. Tambourine Man
The opening evening of De Amer's 35-year anniversary weekend connects past and present: an intimate concert in the tavern room followed by a music film in the barn, just as it was first done in January 2026.
In the tavern room, Hans Sligter - son of De Amer founder Ab Sligter - takes you through the work of Bob Dylan with only his acoustic guitar, harmonica and voice. During the show 'Mr. Tambourine Man', he shares stories and background from Dylan's career alongside the music, and recalls the early years of De Amer. Hans Sligter is known as guitarist and singer of The LSB Experience.
Afterwards we move to the barn for the film 'A Complete Unknown' (2024). This biographical film follows Bob Dylan from his arrival in New York in 1961 to his controversial performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, where he switched from acoustic to electric. Timothée Chalamet plays Dylan, with Edward Norton as Pete Seeger and Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo. Directed by James Mangold. The film is shown on a large screen with the image and sound quality De Amer uses for its music film evenings.
Seating is limited.
