About

The Fatal Flowers are an Amsterdam rock band founded in 1984 by Richard Janssen, widely regarded as one of the leading acts of the so-called 'Amsterdam Guitar School' alongside Claw Boys Claw and de Tröckener Kecks. Their three studio albums - 'Younger Days' (1986), 'Johnny D. Is Back!' (1988) and 'Pleasure Ground' (1990), the latter two produced by Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson - earned them a reputation as one of the best Dutch rock bands of the 1980s. They won a Silver Harp and two Edison Awards, appeared at Pinkpop in 1987, and were regular headliners at Paradiso. After splitting in 1990, they briefly reunited in 2002 and staged a sold-out club tour in 2019.
