Orlando von Einsiedel

Orlando von Einsiedel is a British documentary filmmaker who won an Academy Award in 2017 for the short documentary The White Helmets, about Syrian civil defence volunteers. His feature debut Virunga (2014) followed rangers protecting a national park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His films consistently focus on humanitarian and social justice themes.
