Nephylim is a five-piece melodic death metal band from 's-Hertogenbosch, founded in 2015 by Kevin van Geffen and Rens van de Ven. Their sound draws on the Gothenburg tradition - melancholic hooks, heavy riffs - with touches of doom and black metal. Their 2020 debut Severance of Serenity was followed in March 2025 by the concept album Circuition, produced by Joost van den Broek at Sandlane Recording Facilities. The band won the Dutch Wacken Metal Battle in 2022 and placed fourth at the international finals.
Nephylim performed on June 6, 2026 on the main stage of the South of Heaven Open Air festival in Maastricht, alongside acts such as Megadeth, Sepultura and Anthrax.
The band performed on September 5, 2025 as special guest at the release show of Vanaheim in the Netherlands.
Nephylim concluded a European tour in April 2025, sharing weekly updates via their website.
The second album Circuition was released on March 7, 2025 as an independent release; it is a concept album around the themes of life cycle and the wheel of fate.
The band released the single and music video 'Inner Paradigm' in January 2025 as the first preview of Circuition, mixed by Joost van den Broek at Sandlane Recording Facilities.
