Bloodred Hourglass
Finnish death metal outfit Bloodred Hourglass headlines this Nordic metal showcase at De Helling, joined by Scandinavian veterans Brymir and Estonian innovators Pridian.
Bloodred Hourglass is a Finnish metal band from Mikkeli, founded in 2005. Their six-piece lineup blends melodic death metal with synthesizers, melancholic passages, and a vocal range spanning growls, screams, and clean singing - a sound AllMusic describes as "complex, melodic death metal [that] incorporates elements of metalcore, alternative, and groove metal." After debuting with *Lifebound* (2012) on Spinefarm Records, the band steadily built their following, reaching a new peak with *How's the Heart?* (2023, Out of Line Music).
The band released the new single 'We Should Be Buried Like This' via Out of Line Music, the first preview of a new studio album.
Bloodred Hourglass completed their first European headliner tour ('We Should Be Buried Like This Tour') with shows in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Paris, among others.
The band performed as support for The Halo Effect and PAIN on an extensive European tour in January and February 2025.
Singer Jarkko Koukonen officially changed his first name to Jaredi.
