Matteo Myderwyk (Amsterdam, 1990) is the first Dutch pianist and composer to sign with Warner Classics. Conservatory-trained with Bach, Liszt and Messiaen as touchstones, he deliberately broke from classical convention to forge his own language - somewhere between impressionistic piano, free jazz and analogue electronics. His albums earned two consecutive Edison Award nominations in the neo-classical category, and he has performed at venues including the Concertgebouw, Paradiso and TivoliVredenburg.
Myderwyk released the single Ravel (Encores) in May 2026, a pianistic exploration of Ravel's work.
