Joep Beving
Dutch pianist and composer Joep Beving performs his minimalist compositions at Theater Heerlen.
Joep Beving is a Dutch pianist and composer known for his minimalist, meditative piano music. He broke through with his self-released debut album 'Solipsism' (2015), later distributed worldwide by Deutsche Grammophon. Describing his work as 'accessible music for complex emotions', he has built a global following across eight albums and film scores, and performed at venues including the Sydney Opera House and the Elbphilharmonie.
Beving released his eighth studio album 'Liminal' on March 20, 2026 via Deutsche Grammophon, partly on a sustainable eco-vinyl version made from PET instead of PVC.
The Liminal Tour brings Beving between May and June 2026 to nine venues in the Netherlands and Belgium, including TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht and the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam.
The announcement of 'Liminal' was accompanied by the release of the first single 'We are here but to make music and dance with all the obtaining forces', digitally available from December 5, 2025.
Beving performed on November 18 and 19, 2025 at the Koninklijk Theater Carré in Amsterdam for the tenth anniversary of his debut album 'Solipsism'.
