And Also the Trees are a British post-punk band from Inkberrow, Worcestershire, formed in 1979 by brothers Simon Huw Jones (vocals) and Justin Jones (guitar). Their sound - brooding guitar lines, dark jazz rhythms and poetic lyrics rooted in English rural landscape - places them among the early architects of gothic rock. Their 1984 debut was produced by The Cure's Lol Tolhurst, and the band has since built a devoted European following across sixteen studio albums.
And Also the Trees confirmed eleven autumn shows in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany (20 September - 5 October 2026) in support of 'The Devil's Door'.
The band performed in July 2026 three times as special guest of The Cure at the Festival de Nîmes in France.
The new album 'The Devil's Door' was released on 27 February 2026 via the band's own AATT label and concludes a trilogy that began with 'The Bone Carver' (2022).
The band was featured in 'Resurgence', a 7-CD box set of post-punk released by Alfa Matrix in January 2025.
The documentary 'Slow Pulse Boys: The Story of And Also The Trees' was released in 2024.
