In BLAUWZWART you follow a young man who makes the crossing to Curaçao seventeen times - seventeen times he braves the ocean, arrives and departs again. Each return is a new attempt to grasp who he was, who he is and who he wants to become. But what is he really searching for?

Gershwin Bonevacia explores in this performance what it means to live in a liminal space: not here, not there, but somewhere in the tension between. Coming home sometimes means daring to leave, and fleeing might be a form of seeking.
