Marja van Katendrecht - Heel Holland Hoopt (try-out)
Marja van Katendrecht - known from De Tupperware Show, De Dooie Sterrenparade and Aan Boord bij Marja - presents a try-out of her new show at Kantine Walhalla. In Heel Holland Hoopt, she explores what it means to hope: for love, for recognition, for something better than yesterday. Themes of loneliness, longing and connection are addressed without losing their edge.
The performance combines absurd scenes, poetry, music and moments of vulnerability. Marja actively involves the audience in the evening - you quickly become a participant rather than a spectator.
Theaterkrant previously wrote about her work: "She's very good at talking. It's impressive how Van Katendrecht maintains a serious undertone about loneliness and escapism."
