Peace For Our Time - Konvooi / Orkater

Can you still speak of peace if you have to fight for it? The Orkater collective KONVOOI explores this question in Peace for our time, a contemporary theatrical album about the history of European peace.

Three figures take centre stage: a prime minister, a pacifist, and a journalist - each wrestling with their own moral questions and mistakes. From Neville Chamberlain shaking Hitler's hand, to Émile Arnaud betraying his pacifism in the First World War, and Andrii Kobaliya trading his pen for a weapon in Ukraine. In their spirit, KONVOOI presents a theatrical concert with an original set of protest songs, ranging from classical and jazz to poppy protest music.

KONVOOI consists of three performing artists - Jacob de Groot, Jasper van Hofwegen and Bart Sietsema - and director Belle van Heerikhuizen. They previously created ILIAS (2019) and The Master and Margarita (2021), which was selected for the Dutch Theatre Festival in 2022 and returned in a revival in 2024 in the main hall.
