The Show Goes On - STEL

In 2022, Romy and Thomas from STEL won the Werkplaats Walhalla Pitch and created their first full-length production Life Actually. Last February, their new show The Show Goes On premiered at the same venue.

In The Show Goes On, Romy and Thomas explore the everyday idea of meeting someone. When do you truly meet another person? Can you pinpoint when and why it happens? Is it possible to let go of all expectations and see each other as if for the first time? Perhaps real connection lies not in a spectacular beginning, but in the infinite middle that keeps unfolding? This philosophical piece doesn't ask 'who am I?' but rather 'what are we?'

Through a series of encounter scenes, they try to answer these questions - not only as performers, but as friends. Their friendship spans ten years. Can they remember where it began? And can you try to see someone you've known for years as if meeting them for the first time?
