Joel Borelli - Joie De Vivre (reading performance)

Joël Borelli has performed on major stages for years - from festivals to sold-out venues like AFAS Live and the Ziggo Dome. In spring 2026, he is the face of Bij ons in Brabant at the Philips Stadium. But alongside that big stage, theatre calls.

In JOIE DE VIVRE, the audience follows Joël on a personal quest: cycling towards Paris, searching for 'the man' - a mythical master of theatre and success. Halfway through, he receives a phone call from the Netherlands asking if he wants to be the face of a major event at the Philips Stadium. Dream or certainty. Silence or crowds. Church or carnival.

The performance is a theatre solo with songs, humour and unexpected turns, in which Joël examines his own dilemmas. JOIE DE VIVRE takes no sides, but lets ambition, doubt and success collide. The production is developed in collaboration with director Ruut Weissman, known for his work with Peter Pannekoek, Paul de Leeuw, Acda & De Munnik and Simone Kleinsma.
