Description was written before the event

Sjef the Mouse loses his home when his tree is cut down without warning. In panic, he flees into the forest and finds shelter under a log cabin - dry and full of food. But Beuk the Woodcutter is not happy about it: that hut is hers. And when Owl the owl shows up around the corner, chaos ensues.

Beuk! is a physical family performance full of cartoon-like chases, fights and comic falls. Slapstick at its finest, lots of throwing and smashing, and things are allowed to break. Beneath that spectacle lies a touching story about friendship between human and animal, and their shared love of nature.

Press reviews
"Rogier in 't Hout and Kim van Zeben hack, shoot, saw, fall, fight and sing excellently." - de Volkskrant ★★★★
"The trio Kim van Zeben, Rogier in 't Hout and Bram de Goeij (director) has created an extraordinarily exhilarating, cartoonesque slapstick performance with physical stunts, funny wooden objects, a magnificent owl puppet, cheerful sound effects, innocent silliness and special effects that make the children bounce in their seats." - Theaterkrant
