Diederik van Vleuten, Lucas van Merwijk, and others - Fragile People

Theatermaker Diederik van Vleuten and top drummer Lucas van Merwijk first met as the backing band for the radio programme Podium, where they accompanied nearly the entire Dutch music and cabaret scene - from Acda en de Munnik to Liesbeth List and Youp van 't Hek. Thirty years later, they reunite on stage.

The reunion was sparked in 2022 when Herman Finkers wanted to record an album for the terminally ill Jeroen van Merwijk. The original band - Lucas van Merwijk, guitarist Ed Verhoeff and bassist Boudewijn Lucas - came back together. Under the name Kaaskop, they perform idiosyncratic versions of Dutch musical heritage. For this show, they are joined by Diederik van Vleuten.

Van Vleuten takes the audience on a journey through personal stories, absurd anecdotes and histories. What they will play remains a closely guarded secret for now - though a musical tribute to Jeroen is certain to be included.
