Jip Smit - Motherland: The Return Of Katinka

In Motherland, a curse reigns: men live eighty years, women only three days - born to bear children and then to die. Katinka is the exception. She grows up at a man's pace and is destined to break the curse.

In this third and final part of the trilogy, Katinka must return to her homeland, the Islands of Treis Méres, to place the magical stone in the Pool of Mitra. When the king offers her the crown to do so, she faces a choice: personal power or the greater good of her people.

Theatremaker Jip Smit plays the lead role herself, alongside Marisa van Eyle. If you haven't seen the earlier parts, don't worry - before the performance you'll be humorously brought up to speed on everything that has happened so far.
