Los Pirañas (COL)

Los Pirañas is a Colombian instrumental supergroup made up of Eblis Álvarez, Mario Galeano and Pedro Ojeda. For nearly three decades, they have blended styles like champeta, afrobeat, cumbia, vallenato and Peruvian chicha into gritty improvisations and tight grooves - with a hefty dose of absurd humour.

The result is experimental rock that clashes with dance-floor-oriented music: chaotic in conception, but irresistibly rhythmic. At VERA Mainstage in Groningen, they bring the restless energy of contemporary Colombia to life.
