Yvon Kanters

Yvon Kanters has been performing in care homes and at special events across the Netherlands for years. After appearances at Podium Klassiek and Tijd voor MAX, she now takes the stage at Theater Landgraaf.

The programme features an afternoon of music ranging from classical pieces - including Bach/Gounod's Ave Maria - to pop songs by artists such as Elvis Presley. Between performances, Yvon shares stories about the power of music to connect people with dementia to their past and loved ones. She performs alongside her pianist.

Born in Veghel, Yvon discovered her calling during the coronavirus pandemic, singing for elderly people in care. Through her initiative Myoso Music, she continues this work.
