The Black Stars

In 1961, five young men from the Heerlense neighbourhood of Molenberg made their debut as The Black Stars, performing songs by Cliff Richard, Elvis Presley and others. Now, 65 years later, the same five - considerably older - still take the stage with pleasure.

Their jubilee repertoire includes early rock-'n-roll classics alongside numbers by the Stones, Kinks, Animals and Beatles. Singer Paul van Loo, guitarist George Brauers, drummer Joos Stevens, bassist Jan van der Plas and keyboardist Arno Schmitz celebrate this milestone together with the audience at Theater Landgraaf.
