Bo Jacobs "Huidschrift"

"What is forgotten lives on in the skin."

Huidschrift is a poetic dance performance by choreographer Bo Jacobs that brings together dance, text, music and image around the themes of loneliness and connection. At its centre is Noah, an elderly man who feels disconnected from life, from others, from meaning. His body carries the memories and emotions that have settled within him. Around him appear characters that mirror his inner world - both conscious and unconscious layers - and together they move from fragmentation towards connection.

The performance is a search for embracing everything that lives in Noah: pain and tenderness, resistance and longing, memory and renewal. The work invites vulnerability and slowness, and is meant to be felt, not merely observed.
