In FUTURE VOICES, Nicole Beutler Projects showcases makers of tomorrow. This season features Lucinda Wessels and Timo Tembuyser in a double bill exploring identity in motion. Wessels' multidisciplinary dance duet Fluid Figures and Tembuyser's post-porn pop concert Isle of Eros each challenge conventional thinking and investigate the malleability of identity and the fluidity of gender.

Fluid Figures is a physical, layered performance where dance, sound and performance merge. From a queer, bi-cultural perspective, Lucinda Wessels embarks on an inner search for identity. The dancers embody diverse roles and viewpoints, making both contrast and connection tangible.

Isle of Eros is an erotic concert about the desire for unity - the longing to merge with the other, which clashes with the desire to be a strongly formed individual. After performances centred on the singing community (Mementum, Missa Homo Sacer, Mystica, NOW WE ARE EARTH), Timo Tembuyser now performs as a soloist. A quirky Master of Ceremonies guides the audience through an ode to the wild man, to queerness, to sexuality and to love.
