Silbersee & Sterre Konijn - Via Inferno

Via Inferno is a theatrical concert that intertwines Dante's masterpiece with contemporary questions about life. What does it mean to be human in our time? Is love and connection possible without confronting the dark depths within us? Sterre Konijn descends into the shadowy recesses of Dante's world and her own soul - a quest for love and darkness, mystery and contemplation.

At the heart lies the question of whether Sterre, naturally inclined toward kindness and as a child only recording good news in her diary, can seek out chaos and shadow - and whether she can find love and harmony within them. Italian singing and Dutch texts are combined with a rich array of instruments, drawing on contemporary classical music, Gregorian chant, pop, non-Western music and minimalism.
