Eric-Jan Overbeek & The Fats Domino Tribute Band

By popular demand, Eric-Jan Overbeek & The Fats Domino Tribute Band returns to Podium Kloosterhof as the closing concert of the theatre season.

The show lasts ninety minutes and features a ten-piece big band with a six-piece brass section. The programme includes classics such as Blue Monday, Ain't That a Shame, I'm Walking and Blueberry Hill - the greatest hits of Antoine "Fats" Domino, the New Orleans-born singer and pianist who scored his first hit in 1949 and became one of the founding fathers of rock and roll. Of his dozens of worldwide hits, 35 reached the Dutch top 40.

Pianist and singer Eric-Jan Overbeek, known as Mr. Boogie Woogie, was captivated by boogie woogie at a young age after hearing Fats Domino's Swanee River Hop. He has been touring the United States for decades, received various national and international awards, and opened the 35th edition of North Sea Jazz with his band in 2010.
