Mannen van Naam - Back to Ireland

Mannen van Naam returns to MFC Kloosterhof with their new show 'Back to Ireland'. Following the success of their 2024-2025 theatre concert 'An Irish Evening' at this venue, the band travelled to Ireland again: they toured the country, participated in folk sessions in numerous pubs, and met renowned Irish musicians including Finbar Furey (The Fureys), Paddy Keenan (The Bothy Band), and Keith Donald (The Moving Hearts). These experiences form the foundation for this second Irish theatre programme.

The show features new music, stories, and Irish hospitality. Singer-guitarist Ton Smulders provides the narration, while Ad Grooten and Wilbert van Duinhoven play a wide range of instruments - from Irish whistles and banjo to accordion and bagpipes. Fiddler Siard de Jong completes the ensemble.
