In The Woods - Liv Greene & Cahalen Morrison

In the Woods is an intimate seated concert held regularly at Fort33, a non-profit event focused entirely on the music.

This edition features Liv Greene and Cahalen Morrison. Liv Greene hails from East Nashville and recorded her latest album Deep Feeler live to tape at Nashville's Woodland Sound Studios - the same studio known for Gillian Welch's work - alongside Matt Andrews. The album contains ten songs in the tradition of Gillian Welch, rooted in personal experience. Greene describes her work as "feminine, queer, and defiant." The album also features contributions from Sarah Jarosz. Americana Highways called Deep Feeler "10 perfectly crafted songs that may be the best country record of the year."

Cahalen Morrison grew up in New Mexico and now lives in Glasgow. He plays virtually every stringed instrument and has been touring continuously for over fifteen years: solo, as a duo with Eli West, and as a member of the supergroup Western Centuries. He has performed with David Grisman, Jerry Douglas, Crooked Still, Kelly Joe Phelps, and Tim O'Brien, who said of him: "Cahalen is making music the world needs." He performed at Fort33 in 2011 as a duo with Eli West.

Liv and Cahalen know each other from the US and will play each other's songs and accompany one another during this tour.
