WIES

WIES moves freely across indie pop, singer-songwriter, rock and electronic music - but charts their own course entirely. The trio is known for tracks like 'Soms Is Het Te Laat', 'Meisje' and 'Venus': colourful and raw on the surface, but with lyrics that mean something and are carefully crafted.

In spring 2026, their long-awaited third studio album 'AH!' was released: a collage of a quarter-life crisis, about finding and losing friendships and love, about worries and dilemmas that dance around life. With new band member Teun van der Maarel on bass and keyboards, WIES sounds more layered and exciting than ever. Singles like 'Drijfzand' and 'Ik Geloof Dat Wij Iets Delen' give a taste of an album that effortlessly shifts between intimate and grand, moving moments.
