Crown Concert: Django à Paris

The trio Django à Paris presents a theatrical performance about the life and music of Django Reinhardt in Paris. This Belgian jazz guitarist had a major influence on European jazz in the 1930s, blending American swing music with traditional European musettes, gypsy melodies, and classical music.

Frank de Kleer (guitar), Flip Krajenbrink (guitar), and Melvin Könings (double bass) perform the repertoire live on period instruments, interspersed with stories and anecdotes. The programme also explores how joyful music emerged during difficult times.

The performance takes place in the Hippolytuskerk in Hippolytushoef.
