André the Little Astronaut

In André the Little Astronaut, a young boy sits at his computer exploring how to become an astronaut: where are the planets, and how do you actually get into space? Through aardbol.com he searches and clicks around, and package after package arrives at his door. From the boxes he pulls out the Earth, the Sun, the entire solar system - which unfolds in flowing movements, accompanied by music from composer and musician Daan van West.

The boy builds and repairs until he can travel to the Moon in a self-built rocket. Once there, he makes a special discovery.

This solo performance is a theatrical adaptation of the book by André Kuipers, featuring his own voice. Children playfully discover space travel, life as an astronaut, and our fragile planet.
